| The mission of
Crittenton Services for Children & Families is to help heal the
wounds of abuse and neglect; to strengthen families-whether birth,
foster or adoptive; and to help troubled adolescents reach their full
potential.
Crittenton
has served children and adolescents since 1966. The Harbor Campus
in Fullerton, California provides a variety of treatment services
for up to 40 boys and girls that include: early substance abuse
prevention; sexual abuse treatment; anger management and assertion
skills programs; and a variety of recreation options including extensive
use of expressive therapies.
The campus consists of four residential cottages, a counseling center,
media center (set up for arts, crafts, music, and computer labs),
and an on-grounds park complete with a vegetable garden, sensory
garden, and lots of play equipment. Castle and Brookdale are both
8-bed houses serving boys. Hope Counseling Center provides individual,
group and family sessions, along with arts, crafts and fun. Harbor
House provides residential treatment for up to 24 girls ages 11-13.
Thanks to the generosity of the community, the campus provides a
rich and varied program of recreational activity, art, music, and
sports. Volunteers of all ages provide story hours, cookie baking
classes, and gardening!
